savostrowski luumelo14 ah shoot. so i think i accidentally opened up the folder _not_ via the proper WSL way. when i did it the proper way (sorry for confusing terms), it seems to work perfectly. I noticed \\wsl$ in the recent list, not /home/... All is good! :)
